• Driving & Parking
  Driving to MSG is not recommended. If you must, the arena is accessible from the Lincoln Tunnel from New Jersey, the Midtown Tunnel from Queens, and FDR Drive. Parking garages in the immediate area run more expensive on event night.
• Public Transit
  • Train Lines
    Penn Station sits directly beneath MSG, making it the most transit-accessible arena in North America. The 1/2/3, A/C/E subway lines stop at Penn Station, and NJ Transit, Amtrak, and the Long Island Rail Road all terminate here. The B/D/F/M/N/Q/R/W lines are available at nearby Herald Square (34th Street). Taking the subway is the only sensible way to get to a game.
  • Bus Routes
    M5, M7, M11, M20, M34-SBS, M34A-SBS, M55, and Q32 buses all reliably drop riders off right near Madison Square Garden.
• Rideshare
  Pickup/drop-off on 33rd Street and 8th Avenue. Expect heavy surge pricing on game nights. Walking a few blocks in any direction for pickup after the game will save you time and money.

Midtown Manhattan offers an overwhelming number of pregame options. The blocks surrounding MSG feature classic New York bars and restaurants, and world-class dining is a short cab ride away in every direction.

• Mustang Harry's
  A beloved sports bar on 7th Avenue, directly across from MSG. It's the default pregame destination for Knicks fans multiple floors, cold beer, and a rowdy atmosphere that builds as tip-off approaches. Arrive early for a seat.
• Stout NYC
  An upscale Irish pub on West 33rd Street, steps from the arena. Over 40 beers on tap, a solid food menu, and a polished atmosphere. A step up from the typical sports bar.
• Tír na Nóg
  An Irish pub on West 33rd Street near Penn Station offering traditional Irish fare, a full bar, and live music on some nights. The warm, pub atmosphere is a nice counterpoint to the Midtown chaos outside.
• Haymaker Bar and Kitchen
  A gastropub on 8th Avenue offering creative American food, craft cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. The industrial-chic decor and quality food make it a solid pregame option.
• Maggie Reilly's
  A neighborhood Irish bar near MSG offering cold beer, pub food, and a no-frills pregame atmosphere. The kind of honest New York bar where you can grab a quick pint before the game.
• NY Pizza Suprema
  A New York pizza institution on 8th Avenue, directly across from Penn Station. Open since 1964, it's consistently ranked among the best pizza in Manhattan. The classic New York slice thin, foldable, with quality ingredients is the perfect pregame bite. Cash preferred, fast service.

  A sports bar and entertainment venue near MSG offering a game-day atmosphere with multiple screens and bar food.
• Bryant Park
  A restaurant in about a 10-minute walk east on 42nd Street offering American cuisine in a beautiful park setting. The seasonal atmosphere outdoor dining in summer, ice skating in winter makes it a memorable pregame option.
• Beer Table Penn Station
  A craft beer-focused bar near Penn Station offering a curated tap list and a knowledgeable staff. A quality craft beer stop before heading into the arena.
• Haymaker Bar and Kitchen
  A neighborhood bar and restaurant on 8th Avenue in Chelsea offering craft cocktails, a solid beer list, and American comfort food.

Neighborhood Attractions

• The High Line
  An elevated linear park built on a historic freight rail line on Manhattan's West Side. The 1.45-mile greenway runs from Gansevoort Street to 34th Street, featuring gardens, art installations, and city views. The 34th Street entrance is near MSG. Free and open daily.
• Empire State Building
  The iconic 102-story Art Deco skyscraper on 34th Street and 5th Avenue, about a 5-minute walk from MSG. The observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors offer unmatched views of Manhattan, especially at night.
• One World Trade Center
  The tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, located in Lower Manhattan. The One World Observatory on floors 100-102 provides panoramic views of New York City and beyond. About 20 minutes from MSG by subway.
• Bryant Park
  A 9.6-acre public park on 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, about a 10-minute walk from MSG. The park hosts free events, has a carousel, a reading room, and transforms into a winter village with ice skating and holiday shops from October through March.
• 9/11 Memorial & Museum
  The 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York City is the principal national institution dedicated to exploring the events of September 11, 2001, and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Located within the footprints of the original Twin Towers, it preserves the history and impact of the tragedies through monumental artifacts, personal stories, and interactive technology.

• The Golden Diana Statue
  Entryway/Lobby: The most prominent physical monument is located right inside the Chase Square main entrance lobby. It is a smaller bronze replica of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ famous Diana the Huntress statue, which famously topped the 32-story tower of the second Madison Square Garden in the late 1890s.
• Garden 366
  On the Madison Concourse / 6th Floor: This is a massive, permanent visual retrospective wrapped completely around the concourse. It features a dedicated moment, photograph, and write-up for every single calendar day of the year (366 days, including leap year), detailing a historic sporting event, concert, or political milestone that happened in the building on that specific date.

  This area features permanent structural plaques and interactive display kiosks celebrating the absolute pinnacle of MSG history.

  The most famous courtside seats in basketball. Celebrity Row at MSG is a fixture of NBA culture. Spike Lee, various A-listers, and New York power brokers line the court.
• Club Verizon
  This is the most exclusive ticket membership tier at the Garden. Situated right in the heart of the lower-level action, members receive access to a private, highly upscale lounge with premium buffet dining, dedicated wait service, and a mix of total privacy with maximum proximity to the players.
• The 1879 club
  Named after the founding year of the original Madison Square Garden, this ultra-exclusive club acts as the primary see-and-be-seen hub for celebrities and VIPs. • Delta Sky360° Club
  This massive event-level hospitality space caters to premium courtside and rinkside ticketholders. Beyond upscale dining included in the ticket, it features glass walls that offer fans a direct view of the player tunnels as they walk out to the court or ice, alongside direct views of the live MSG Networks broadcast set.
• The Madison Club
  Located as an extension of the lower bowl on the far west end of the arena. Sections 59–64. It provides over-sized, plush leather seating, in-seat wait service, and individual HD monitors shared between every four seats to watch replays
• The HUB Loft / The Loft
  Located on the premium levels, this private club environment accommodates small groups of up to 48 guests. It includes all-inclusive premium buffet-style dining, a private bar, in-seat wait service, and upscale lounge seating. It is unique because it offers membership access to all events held at the Garden rather than just one specific sport.
• Chase Bridge
  Sections 310–316 North, 324–328 South: A masterclass in stadium architecture, these are literal catwalks suspended directly from the ceiling, hanging right over the 100/200 level bowls. Seats are wider, heavily padded, and separated by clear glass partitions for privacy.
• Lexus Suite Level
  Mid-level tier, lower bowl completely encircling the arena floor between the 100 and 200 seating levels. The core private suite tier at the Garden, accommodating 12 to 24 guests. • Infosys Suite Level

  Sections 106, 116, 210, 305 What they offer: A legendary MSG staple. Famous for its custom-blend beef patties, particularly the signature Daily Burger topped with sweet bacon jam and a toasted brioche bun, served with standard or seasoned fries.

  Sections 105, 219: The last official, permanent operational outpost of the iconic NYC institution. They serve up massive, overstuffed hot pastrami and corned beef sandwiches on rye with mustard and a side pickle, accurately preserving classic deli culture.
