A Guide to Broadview Stadium
Broadview Stadium is the 29,013-seat home of Buffalo Bulls football on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus in Amherst. Built for the 1993 World University Games, its long grandstands, large end-zone bleachers and eight-lane track give it the scale of an international multisport venue. Broadview Village, the Victory Walk and a spirited Western New York crowd bring a college identity to the broad, open bowl.
Getting to Broadview Stadium
The venue's current address is 104 Broadview Stadium, Buffalo, NY 14260, on UB's suburban North Campus. Millersport Highway/NY 263 connects the campus to I-290, while Flint Road, St. Rita's Lane and the Webster entrance distribute game traffic.
Driving & Parking
- From I-90Connect to I-290 west toward Niagara Falls, take Exit 5B for Millersport Highway and move to the right for the Flint Road campus entrance.
- From CanadaFrom the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge use I-190 south to I-290 east; from the Peace Bridge use I-190 north to I-290 east. Both approaches continue to Exit 5B.
- Flint entranceUB closed the Coventry entrance for the revised 2025 football pattern. Drivers approaching Coventry should turn around at Millersport/Coventry and enter at Flint.
- Free public parkingBaird, Slee and Jacobs Lots provide free parking and a walk to the stadium. Public and RV inventory is also available in the Special Event Lot.
- Passholder routePremium passes use St. Rita's Lane and the Webster entrance. The Stadium Lot, Arena Lot and Alumni B require the matching preapproved benefit.
- Accessible spaces and shuttleStadium, Alumni A and Arena lots have first-come accessible spaces. Lower Slee provides additional inventory with a continuous assistance shuttle to the south stadium lot.
- Mobile ticket preparationDownload tickets through the UB Horns Up app or account manager before joining the gate line. The stadium ticket office opens two hours before kickoff.
- Gate timingGates open 90 minutes before the game. South Gates 1–3 serve premium guests, suites, media and both grandstands; North Gates 4–5 serve students and north-side parking traffic.
Public Transit
- NFTA MetroRegional buses serve North Campus, but Metro Rail ends at University Station on South Campus and does not reach the stadium. A bus or UB shuttle connection is required.
- UB intercampus serviceThe Blue Line links Downtown and South campuses, while campus routes circulate on North Campus. Public eligibility and football-day routing vary; use UB's live transportation tracker.
- Student game shuttlesUB operates residence-hall football shuttles throughout game day so students can come and go. Visitors should not assume those buses replace regional public transit.
- Campus walkingNorth Campus is large. A stop near the Student Union or Flint Loop still leaves a meaningful walk to Broadview Village, so allow 15–25 minutes.
Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)
- Use Flint-side landmarksAlumni Arena/Broadview Arena or a public lot makes a clearer handoff than the stadium's renamed mailing address.
- Avoid premium lanesA driver without a credential should not enter St. Rita's Lane or the Stadium Lot queue. Meet at the edge of Baird, Slee or Jacobs instead.
- Postgame pickupWalk toward Flint Loop or the academic core before calling the car. Millersport and stadium-lot exits back up immediately after the game.
- Name clarificationTell the driver “Broadview Stadium, formerly UB Stadium, North Campus.” The 2026 identity may not be updated in every navigation database.
Pregame Festivities
UB has organized the 2026 experience around Broadview Village, a Coca-Cola Fan Zone and the Victory Walk. Game-specific promotions range from fireworks and family programming to a distinctly Western New York meat raffle, so check the date's theme before arrival.
Tailgating
- Broadview VillageThe renamed athletics district hosts official pregame activity and tailgate opportunities. It is the most intuitive visitor destination before entering the stadium.
- Coca-Cola Fan ZoneInteractive games and family activities operate as part of the season-long 2026 presentation, with details adjusted by opponent.
- Victory WalkTwo hours before kickoff, the team arrives with cheerleaders and the Thunder of the East Marching Band. Move from the tailgate area to the route early.
- Public lotsFree Baird, Slee and Jacobs parking supports ordinary fan setups, but keep drive aisles open and follow the lot-specific alcohol, grilling and canopy rules.
- Group tailgatesUB sells customizable packages for groups of 25 to more than 500. Those experiences are reserved arrangements, not open public tents.
- Theme datesKids Day, Band Day, Homecoming, 716 Night and the meat-raffle game add activities or giveaways. Do not assume every promotion repeats weekly.
- Cold-weather planAmherst wind and midweek November football require serious layers. Pack only what fits the clear-bag dimensions and return coolers to the car before entry.
Pregame Bars & Restaurants
- At 2349 Millersport Highway in Getzville, Elmo's is a Buffalo Wing Trail stop known for grilled, double-dipped wings such as Cajun-barbecue combinations. It is a short drive north of campus.
- At 1402 Millersport Highway, this Amherst wing specialist is convenient to the I-290 approach and works well before parking at UB.
- The Amherst-area pub menu combines Buffalo-style pizza, wings, sandwiches and local beer. Confirm the chosen location because the Santora's name appears at multiple addresses.
- The campus shopping and dining area across from the Student Union offers casual food without leaving North Campus. Weekend hours vary by tenant and academic calendar.
- Campus diningNorth Campus residential dining and retail counters accept standard payment, but not every location operates on a football schedule. Check UB Dining hours for the specific Saturday or weeknight.
- Fan Zone concessionsFor a late arrival, official Broadview Village food and stadium Grab & Go points are safer than making another off-campus trip.
Gameday Traditions
- Victory WalkThe team, cheerleaders and Thunder of the East pass through the pregame district at the two-hour mark. This is UB's central football arrival tradition for 2026.
- Horns UpRaise the index finger and pinky to make bull horns. “Horns Up,” “Go Bulls” and “More Cowbell” are all approved spirited phrases in the university's athletics identity.
- Thunder of the EastUB's marching band accompanies the Victory Walk, performs at halftime and plays the UB Victory March throughout the game.
- Victor E. BullThe blue bull mascot works the Fan Zone, student section and in-game promotions. A First Game Certificate for children is available at Guest Relations outside South Gate 3.
- Live field DJThe 2026 presentation adds a pregame DJ on the field before the band and team entrance. Arrive early if the entertainment is part of the appeal.
- Blue and whiteThe simplest visitor move is royal blue. The official fight song calls fans to be proud of “dear Blue and White,” and the student block reinforces those colors.
