Reser Stadium
A Guide to Reser Stadium
Reser Stadium is Oregon State football’s dramatically renewed 35,548-seat home on the south edge of the Corvallis campus. The modern west side wraps an intimate old bowl in chairbacks, clubs, local food and university services without losing the close sidelines that made famous upsets so loud. Orange-and-black tailgates, Beaver Walk, Benny Beaver and toy chainsaws give game day a deeply Oregonian personality.
Getting to Reser Stadium
Reser Stadium is at 700 SW 26th Street. From Interstate 5, take Exit 228 and Oregon 34 west into Corvallis, then follow football signs toward 26th Street, Western Boulevard and the assigned zone. From the coast, Highway 20/34 reaches the same south-campus network. Postgame traffic can take two to three hours to clear, so avoid rigid dinner or airport timing.
Driving & Parking
- Reserved stadium lotsOrange lots and almost every space immediately around Reser are season-long products. Have the mobile pass open before reaching the assigned entrance; reserved signs remain enforceable.
- Single-game salesAdvance passes are sold by zone rather than exact lot. Day-of lots open six hours before kickoff, never before 7 a.m., and currently cost $20–$45 in cash.
- City parkingAvery Park and Pioneer Park offer game-day parking and tailgating, while downtown has 10-hour meters plus unrestricted areas on First Street north of Van Buren and at B Avenue and Second Street. Observe three-hour customer-zone signs.
- Accessible spacesFirst-come inventory is sold in the Stadium Lot and parking structure with both a DMV placard and event payment. Dial-a-Bus provides an accessible connection from the 27th-and-Arnold area.
- Friday gamesNormal campus permits apply in many lots until 5 p.m., and football conversion can displace workday parking. Follow the game-specific university notice rather than arriving six hours early by assumption.
- No lot re-entryOnce a vehicle leaves, it cannot return. Parking structures prohibit tailgating and open-flame grills even when surface lots are active.
Public Transit
- Football shuttlesThree $5 routes begin three hours before kickoff and connect remote parking with Jefferson Way near campus.
- Fairgrounds RoutePark at Benton County Fairgrounds and ride to Jefferson Way near Peavy Field, a useful choice for drivers entering from west or north Corvallis.
- Ninth Street RouteStops at Ninth and Spruce and Ninth and Garfield before reaching Jefferson Way near the Memorial Union.
- Downtown RoutePickups at Second Street near the Super 8 and Western Boulevard connect to the Student Experience Center Plaza.
- Corvallis Transit SystemCity buses are fareless and several routes serve campus, but game-day detours are common. Check real-time service and the last trip before relying on CTS after a night game.
Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)
- Oregon State's refreshed 2026 parking page does not identify a dedicated rideshare zone. The historically designated athletics drop-off is Washington Way and 26th Street near Gill Coliseum; confirm the current map before traveling.
- Set the pin at the campus edge rather than Reser Stadium's reserved lot. Washington Way, Jefferson Way or a downtown shuttle stop gives the driver a realistic route.
- After the game, walk north or east beyond the pedestrian wave before requesting. A driver across 26th Street may be unable to reach the requested curb during outbound control.
- Downtown lodging guests should consider the $5 shuttle or fareless CTS first. Both reduce the risk of surge pricing and a prolonged vehicle queue.
Pregame Festivities
Surface-lot tailgating begins six hours before kickoff, never earlier than 7 a.m. The team traditionally arrives for Beaver Walk roughly two hours before kickoff, and standard gates open 90 minutes before.
Tailgating
- Reser and Orange lotsThese are the closest and most established scenes but require the correct season pass. One pass equals one space; equipment must remain within, in front of or behind that footprint.
- Avery and Pioneer parksCity-run public lots offer parking and tailgating outside the donor system, with proceeds supporting local programs. Verify that year's opening and payment method.
- Tailgate podsReserved turnkey or grouped products have their own access schedule, generally 8 a.m. except on weekday games. Do not assume a pod credential admits a vehicle to another lot.
- Fire lanesRoadways and additional stalls stay clear, personal golf carts are prohibited and attendants may relocate unsafe equipment.
- Parking structureTailgating and open-flame grills are prohibited inside the garage. Use the space only for parking, even if surface-lot friends are cooking nearby.
- CleanupDispose of trash and recycling before leaving. Vehicles cannot exit and re-enter, so bring all supplies at the beginning of the day.
Pregame Bars & Restaurants
- At 1501 NW Monroe Avenue beside campus, “Clod's” is the classic student and alumni sports pub, with televisions, late-night food and an energetic game-day crowd.
- Just off Monroe, Local Boyz serves large plates of shoyu chicken, ribs and rice. It is quick, distinctive and popular enough to warrant an early stop.
- Block 15 Downtown PubAt 300 SW Jefferson Avenue, Block 15 pairs house beer with a full brewpub menu and sits near the Downtown shuttle route.
- The four-story pub at 160 NW Jackson Avenue offers food, beer and a rooftop view; use the downtown shuttle rather than driving from there to campus.
- The Monroe Avenue location is a long-running college-town option for pizza before the walk south through campus.
Gameday Traditions
- Beaver WalkAbout two hours before kickoff, players and coaches arrive near 30th Street and Ralph Miller Drive and walk past the football complex with the band, spirit squad and Benny.
- Toy chainsawsPlastic and cardboard chainsaws may enter after inspection, and their revving motions accompany scores and defensive moments. Real chainsaws and artificial noisemakers are prohibited.
- Chainsaw entranceThe team entrance uses chainsaw imagery, smoke and the growling saw sound associated with Oregon's timber heritage.
- Benny BeaverAdopted officially in 1952, Benny works the pregame areas and student section; Retro Benny imagery reconnects the program with its mid-century identity.
- Fight song and Alma MaterThe marching band leads “Hail to Old OSU” and the fight song, with players and fans gathering after games for the alma mater.
- Beaver DamThe organized student section supplies close-range noise behind the Oregon State sideline and uses pregame activations and giveaways to build participation.
Monuments & Features
- Beaver StreetThe west concourse is designed as an Oregon food-and-social street, combining views, photo points, bars, markets and gathering areas rather than a narrow circulation corridor.

- The TerraceNorth-end hospitality showcases Oregon food and beverages in an open social environment overlooking the end zone.

Seating & Sections
Reser's strongest characteristic is proximity: seats press close on all four sides. The Beavers occupy the east sideline with students directly behind them; the rebuilt west side offers chairbacks and premium spaces. The north contains The Terrace and football center, while the large board rises west.
- East sidelineLower east seats deliver the loudest home-side environment near the students and bench. Club, loge and suite products above have separate entrances and lounges.
- West sidelineThe newest side is entirely chairback-based, with modern concourses, covered options and easy access to Beaver Street.
- Student/Beaver DamExpect standing and sustained noise behind the home bench and into adjacent south-end inventory. Visiting families wanting calm should choose the west side or designated family area.
- OCCU Family ZoneSections 124–126 include Benny's Lodge games for different age groups, kid-friendly concessions, stroller check, baby-break space and mascot visits.
- South and north end zonesSouth seats sit near visiting allocations and the main video-board view; north-end positions connect quickly to The Terrace and Valley Football Center.
