A Guide to AT&T Stadium
AT&T Stadium opened in 2009 as the home of the Dallas Cowboys, replacing Texas Stadium in Irving. The venue features a retractable roof and a 160-foot by 72-foot HD video board and one of the largest capacities in the NFL.
Getting to the Stadium
The stadium is positioned in the heart of the Arlington Entertainment District between Dallas and Fort Worth. The surrounding area functions as a sports and entertainment destination, which results in heavy event day traffic.
Driving & Parking
- DrivingFrom Dallas, take I-30 West and exit at Ballpark Way. From Fort Worth, take I-30 East to the Ballpark Way exit. From I-20, exit at Cooper Street and follow signs to the stadium. From I-35W, take I-30 East to Ballpark Way. Parking lots open five hours before kickoff for Cowboys games, and traffic begins backing up 3-4 hours before.
- ParkingThe stadium offers thousands of parking spaces in lettered lots surrounding the venue. Pre-purchasing parking through the Cowboys' official website is strongly recommended, as lots sell out quickly. The Blue Lots are closer to the stadium gates while the Silver Lots are further out at a better price. Reserved sections of the lots nearest the stadium (1, 2, 5, 6, 7 & 10) are exclusive for season and suite ticket holders, though there are still non-reserved parts of those garages as well. Lots closer to the current and old baseball stadium (Globe Life Filed & Choctaw Stadium) offer even better prices for a longer walk but tailgating is restricted in most of them For tailgaters needing to stock up, Walmart Supercenter right next to the stadium lots is perfect for grabbing coolers, snacks, and supplies. Whole Foods Market offers organic and premium options if you're looking for higher end tailgate fare. For beverages, Total Wine & More or Spec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods both offer extensive selections at competitive prices.
Public Transit
- Arlington has limited public transit options compared to major metro areas. The Arlington Entertainment District Trolley provides free shuttle service to the stadium from nearly 30 participating hotels located in the area
Rideshare
- There are 2 designated drop off zones: the north side of Randol Mill Road in Lot 1 and the south side off of Cowboys Way in Lot 6. The only post game pick up zone is at the entrance to Miller LiteHouse at N Collins St. and Cowboys way

Monuments & Unique Features
AT&T Stadium's design emphasizes scale and technology, with features that set it apart from any other NFL venue.
- Tom Landry StatuePositioned directly outside the stadium footprint on the north side at Gate A, adjacent to the team's primary Pro Shop. This bronze monument honors the franchise's first head coach and was physically relocated from Texas Stadium.
- The JumbotronThe stadium's centerpiece is the massive HD video board measuring 160 feet wide by 72 feet tall, weighing 1.2 million pounds. At the time of construction, it was the largest LED videoboard in the world. It stretches from one 20-yard line to the other and is so impressive that many fans reportedly watch the entire game on the screen rather than looking down at the field. The resolution and clarity are unmatched, making every play visible from any seat.
- Retractable RoofThe stadium features a huge retractable roof that can open or close in approximately 10 minutes. For Cowboys games, the roof is typically kept closed to maintain climate control. The roof is supported by massive steel trusses that are architectural statements themselves.
- Championship BannersThe five Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl championship banners hang permanently from the stadium’s interior roof rafters, positioned high above the end zone seating decks commemorating victories in 1971 (VI), 1977 (XII), 1992 (XXVII), 1993 (XXVIII), and 1995 (XXX)
- Ring of HonorDisplayed permanently inside the stadium bowl along the upper suite level fascia. It encircles the interior bowl displaying the names of 24 historic players, coaches, and executives enshrined by the franchise.
- The Dallas Cowboys Art CollectionThe stadium features a collection of over 90 contemporary artworks integrated directly into the building's architecture and distributed widely throughout the stadium.
