A Guide to U.S. Bank Stadium

U.S. Bank Stadium opened in 2016 on the site of the demolished Metrodome, serving as the home of the Minnesota Vikings. The indoor venue features a distinctive angular ETFE roof with transparent panels and massive glass doors that open toward downtown Minneapolis. It is directly integrated into the city's climate-controlled Skyway system, allowing fans easy access to the stadium year-round.

Getting to the Stadium

Driving & Parking

  • Driving
    • From I-35W Northbound (from the south)
      Take Exit 16A for the downtown exits. Follow the left two lanes straight toward 5th Avenue South, then turn right onto 6th Street South to access local stadium parking structures.
    • From I-35W Southbound (from the north)
      Take Exit 17B toward 11th Avenue. Stay in the right lane along the ramp, turn right onto 11th Avenue South, and proceed toward 6th Street South to reach the venue gates.
    • From I-94 Westbound (from the east)
      Take Exit 234B (7th Street). Follow the 7th Street South exit ramp straight toward Park Avenue, or use 11th Avenue South to navigate directly into the stadium perimeter.
    • From I-94 Eastbound (from the west)
      Take Exit 230 (4th Street North). Continue straight as the road transitions into 4th Street South, turn right onto 3rd Avenue South, and then turn left onto 6th Street South.
  • Parking
    The stadium and team do not control any of the public parking around the stadium but the Stadium Parking Ramp (garage) is connected via the skyway to the stadium. Over 20,000 parking spaces exist between the stadium and Hennepin Ave, all within a 20 minute walk away. Fans can pre-purchase parking via the team's official parking partner (note, make sure you go to the Viking's website and not the stadium site to access the link). Tailgating is only allowed in 3 locations on the north side of the stadium and require purchasing specific season long tailgating passes. For supplies, Whole Foods Market offers organic groceries and prepared foods, and Trader Joe's is nearby. Lunds & Byerlys Northeast Minneapolis provides premium groceries, while Cub - Minneapolis Lake Street serves South Minneapolis. For beverages, Hennepin Lake Liquor Store has been family-owned since 1977, and Micky's Liquor offers a wide selection. Target provides general supplies.

Public Transit

  • Light Rail (METRO)
    The Blue and Green Lines both serve the U.S. Bank Stadium Station. The Blue Line connects the Mall of America, MSP Airport, and areas to the south. The Green Line services downtown St. Paul, the University of Minnesota, and areas east. Park and Ride stations are available at 30th Avenue or Fort Snelling on the Blue Line
  • Bus Routes
    Routes 3, 5, 7, 9, 14, 19, and 22 are the primary bus options to the stadium

Rideshare

  • Pick-up and drop-off zones are located on 9th Avenue South between 6th Street South and 7th Street South, and on 3rd Street between Park Avenue and Portland Avenue. Surge pricing is common on game days. Post-game, expect increased wait times as thousands of fans exit simultaneously.

The Skyway system connects the stadium to numerous buildings throughout downtown via climate controlled walkways, essential during Minneapolis winters. While typically only open during work business hours it is extended when the Vikings are playing

    Located on the lower tier home sideline directly above the Delta Sky360° Club sections. This space serves as an enclosed private lounge with integrated media displays and private entry gates.
  • Mystic Lake’s Club Purple
    A premium hospitality zone positioned on the 200 level of the stadium. The footprint features three distinct ticket options (lounge couches, loge boxes, and club seats), an interior lounge with three fully serviced bars, private restrooms, and an outdoor observation deck equipped with a fire pit facing the downtown skyline.
    • Club Purple Couches
      Semi-private, designated seating clusters located inside Club Purple that accommodate groups of 6 to 12 guests. These spaces provide dedicated, couch side beverage service and access to upscale buffet counters.
  • Lumen Lodge
    A club lounge area situated on the upper concourse tiers that features self-contained concession counters and dedicated beverage stations directly behind the seating rows.

    Located directly at field level along the team sidelines and player benches. These spaces feature private field level viewing patios and grant guests admission to the adjacent Delta Sky360° Club, which provides direct views of the primary player tunnel.
  • Touchdown Suites
    Field-level suites situated directly behind the East end zone. Guests in these sections receive full access to the Delta Sky360° Club amenities and field-level corridor pathways.
  • Valhalla Suites
    The lowest non-field level suites in the venue, positioned on the home sideline behind the team bench. Ticket holders have access to the private Founders Lounge located immediately behind the suite entryways.

    The stadium features a giant pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce from The Rabbit Hole, and a 10-inch long "big stick" pretzel. Gallant Tiger offers gourmet, crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (Section 129). Union Hmong Kitchen features the Meeka Burger, Banh Mi Brat, and Hot Tots. Local vendors are featured throughout the stadium.

    Traditional hot dogs ($5.75), peanuts ($6), cheeseburgers ($9.25), and loaded nachos ($14.50) are available throughout. Pepsi products are the beverage of choice at $5.19, or $8.39 for souvenir size.
