A Guide to Bank of America Stadium
Bank of America Stadium opened in 1996 in uptown Charlotte. The venue's distinctive black obsidian granite archways and domed towers create an intimidating exterior, while the interior provides intimate sightlines that have made it one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL.
Getting to the Stadium
The stadium sits in uptown Charlotte, in the Third Ward neighborhood just south of the city center. The location makes it easily accessible from throughout the Charlotte metro area, though gameday traffic in the dense urban core requires planning.
Driving & Parking
- DrivingFrom I-277, take Exit 1 (Mint Street) and follow signs to the stadium. From I-77 North, take Exit 55 (Mint Street). From I-77 South, take Exit 54A (Mint Street). The stadium address is 800 South Mint Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Note: Cedar Street between West 1st Street and Stadium View Drive is closed to car traffic until Spring 2026 due to ongoing city construction.
- From the NorthTake I-77 South toward Uptown Charlotte. Exit onto the Brookshire Freeway (I-277 East) and use the Fourth Street or Graham Street exits to access the parking lots near the northern gates.
- From the SouthTake I-77 North toward center city. Take the Morehead Street exit directly, or merge onto the John Belk Freeway (I-277) and exit at Carson Boulevard to approach the southern or eastern sides of the stadium.
- From the EastFollow US-74 West as it transitions into the John Belk Freeway (I-277 Inner). Exit at Brooklyn Village Avenue or South Boulevard to quickly reach the center city parking decks.
- From the WestFrom the airport area, take the Billy Graham Parkway to I-77 North, or follow Wilkinson Boulevard (US-74 East) straight into Uptown. Connect to the John Belk Freeway (I-277) and exit at Carson Boulevard or Graham Street.
- ParkingThe Mint Street Parking Garage(Lot 1) is located at the corner of Mint and Graham streets, directly across from the stadium's North Gate. Additional parking is available at the Charlotte Convention Center and 7th Street Station parking lots. Tailgating around the stadium is relatively limited. The area is dominated by garages rather than open air lots where tailgating is prohibited. For those in lots and looking for supplies, Harris Teeter in Uptown provides groceries, and Whole Foods Market offers organic and specialty items. For beverages, Mecklenburg County ABC Store #27is the closest liquor store.
Public Transit
- LYNX Light RailThe Lynx Light Rail system is a convenient alternative to driving. A number of Park-and-Rides exist throughout the system
- Blue LineThe Blue Line runs North/South from University City to Sterling. The Brooklyn Village stop is a short walk to the stadium
- Gold LineThe Gold Line runs roughly East/West and primarily services the city center. The Mint Street stop is a short walk to the stadium

- This upscale cocktail and whiskey bar features a huge selection from around the world, hand-crafted cocktails, draught beer, and wines in the South End
- Located in NoDa (North Davidson), this James Beard-nominated brewery offers craft beers, food, and a vibrant atmosphere. It is near the 36th St Lynx Blue Line stop making it a convenient stop further from the stadium

- The Obsidian TowersThe stadium's exterior features massive archways and domed towers made of black obsidian granite, creating a distinctive and intimidating appearance. The design was specifically chosen to reflect the Panthers' panther logo and create a memorable visual identity.
- Indomitable Spirit StatuesEach of the stadium's three main entrance gates is flanked by a pair of larger than life bronze panther statues, totaling six sculptures across the exterior plaza.
- Sam Mills StatueLocated between the stadium's east and north entrances along Mint Street, this bronze statue honors the Hall of Honor linebacker and coach. The sculpture depicts Mills in uniform with his helmet tucked under his arm,
- Mike McCormack StatueLocated in front of the stadium's main north gate this life-sized bronze sculpture commemorates the Pro Football Hall of Famer who served as the Panthers' inaugural team president and general manager.
- Championship & Division Title MarkersThe franchise does not display traditional fabric championship banners within the seating bowl. The team's 2003 and 2015 NFC Championships alongside their division titles are commemorated via signage and graphics displayed throughout the public concourses.

- Silver ClubThis two story premium space features eight self contained player themed lounges with full service bars and dining operations. Positioned within this level are four Silver Club Terraces located in the northeast and southeast corners of the 300 level, which provide three rows of cushioned seats set behind fully retractable glass windows and dedicated television arrays.
- Suite ClubPositioned across the 300 and 400 levels, these five distinct club spaces integrate standard suite ticketing with communal food and beverage setups. Guests use a dedicated VIP entrance on the north side of the stadium structure to access these levels.
- The Gallery Field SuitesLocated on the field level directly behind the end zone, this space features 12 to 14 individual luxury suites and two shared club lounges. The suites incorporate floor-to-ceiling glass back-walls that offer a direct line of sight into the players' tunnel walk between the locker room and the playing surface.
- Gridiron ClubSituated on the north side of the stadium on the 400 level, this space pairs covered outdoor stadium seats with an indoor lounge equipped with a theater video wall, private restrooms, and buffet service.
- One Carolina ClubLocated in the East End Zone on the 300 level, this indoor suite facility accommodates ticket holders at executive style table seating behind large glass viewing windows. The interior floor plan includes a catered buffet, a private cash bar, and a dedicated billiard room

- The Registix ReserveReimagined from the former Vault and Platinum Access footprint near the North Gate, this field side sideline hospitality venue puts ticket holders directly adjacent to the team benches. - Specialty FoodCharlotte favorite Sabor is among the food options, offering local flavors. The stadium features BBQ Pork sandwiches, Burnt Ends, Cheerwine Sausage (a North Carolina specialty), Carne Asada Fries, Smash Burgers, Waffle Fries, Mac and Cheese, and BBQ Ribs during Panther Season. A $29 BBQ platter is available for groups.
- Value ItemsTraditional hot dogs, burgers, pizza, nachos, and fries are available throughout. All-you-can-drink soda is available for around $10 in a souvenir cup. Prices are generally reasonable compared to other NFL stadiums.
