A Guide to Lenovo Center
The Lenovo Center serves as the premier multi-purpose hub for sports and entertainment in North Carolina's Research Triangle. As the home of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and NC State Men’s Basketball, the arena is currently undergoing a multi-year transformation featuring enhanced fan amenities, modernized concourses, and a vibrant new year-round beer hall and restaurant.
Getting to the Arena
- Driving & ParkingFrom I-40, take the Wade Avenue exit Exit 289 and follow Wade Avenue west to Edwards Mill Road. From I-440, take Exit 1C Wade Avenue. Parking lots are surrounding the arena. The fairgrounds campus provides ample surface lot space.
- Public TransitGoRaleigh operates limited bus service, but Raleigh is primarily a driving city. Plan to drive or rideshare.
- GoRaleigh Route 26Edwards Mill: This remains the primary line serving the Lenovo Center directly.
- Wolfline NC State Transit Route 60Bidirectional service along Dan Allen Drive.
- Amtrak Raleigh Union StationNo direct light rail or commuter rail to the Lenovo Center. Fans must transfer from Union Station to GoRaleigh buses Routes 9 or 11 to reach the arena.
- RideshareThe designated pick-up and drop-off zone is located at the TowneBank Center at Carter-Finley Stadium. Directly across from the Lenovo Center.

The arena's location near the NC State Fairgrounds and Cary puts fans near a mix of craft breweries, BBQ joints, and local favorites. Downtown Raleigh and the Glenwood South district offer more options for those arriving early.

Notable Events
- The Hartford-to-Raleigh Move 1997: The franchise relocated from Hartford, Connecticut, where they were the Whalers. The move was controversial, but the Hurricanes have built a devoted following in a non-traditional hockey market.
