This trip will forever be remembered as the inauguration meeting of the Homeaway team. Not only meeting in person for the first time but booking our first partnership with Fergs to be our pilot program establishment. Overall it was a great 48 hours in Tampa that will live on in the company’s lure to the end of time.

It was really easy to access off the highway. Parking was good although they don’t sell out. Taking this some runner or Uber into the downtown area also works well. Pretty convenient.
This was the coolest part of my gameday experience. They had a great energy and culture outside the stadium at Fergs, which is probably the coolest sports bar I’ve ever been to. It was massive and had a tunnel walkway out the back door right into the stadium gates. Pretty cool block of restaurants and bars that makes the pre-post game, entertaining and convenient
There was minimal history displayed for a franchise that has some history. Especially over the last few years. They had a statue of Evan Longoria that was smaller than Evan Longoria.lol. Dan Zimmer on the Hall of Fame banner didn’t help.
You could hear a pin drop in the stadium. If it wasn’t for the one fan, Shane sent behind us. It would’ve been a very tough day to be a Rays Fan. The Cubs fans brought the noise and intensity. The Rays fans looked just happy to be there.
Seat: There wasn’t much of a concourse view once you left the outfield. Making it very difficult to enjoy the game while exploring stadium.
There were no scoreboards around the perimeter of the stadium nor behind home plate. You had to turn around to a massive screen that was laid on the ground as opposed to being propped up 30 more feet. Very cookie cutter. No built in music, fans or organs.
It felt like a food court at a mall. They attempted with a couple of places that do have names. However, their beer selection was weak, and the places for liquor were limited.
The bathrooms were pocketed in weird areas of the stadium. The main bathrooms were smaller and had to wait in line twice.
The game day tickets are so cheap that it’s hard to score this category low. However, the pricing for food and drinks was quite high and did not scale back with the product on the field and the stadium not halfway full.
I had a pretty good time, pregame and post game. The guy sitting behind us were hysterical and a great time. We all kind of made the game our own in that section. Tough sledding though.
