We were driving from Baltimore to Boston and realized at the last second that the Mets were at home. Bought the tickets on the road and rushed to get there in time, meeting a couple of friends at the park. Got a great game with lots of action. Multiple homers and a great catch diving by Springer. The part I'll always remember is sitting one row behind the infamous Anthony Wiener who was there with his kid. For me this was probably the stadium that solidified in my mind the potential of what our Baseball Tour of America could be and that this was something we were going to pursue for years to come

We drove in from Baltimore and parking was pretty simple. There's also a subway line that runs to near of the stadium though it's a bit of a walk
There's really not much around. Surrounded by parking lots and feels disconnected from the surrounding area
We weren't hunting for it but there's really no reflection of their history inside the ballpark. Seaver Statue out front and a plaque for where the old Shea was in the parking lot but that's all we really found
Felt big and kinda like a mall but the fans were engaged and into the game. Not as intimate as I'd like and kinda generic
We had good seats down the 3rd base line. You can be pretty far away in some spots and you seem to lose the corners depending on your section. I knocked it because you couldn't see the field from the concourse and had to be in your seat to know what was going on

Huge video board with a good secondary board in right showing lineups. Good ancillary info in between the decks. Only real issue was the forced music/fan engagement/ leading chants ect
Nice variety of both food and drinks. Far beyond the standard ballpark fair. Good craft beer selection. All the bells and whistles of a newer stadium
I honestly have no recollection of the bathrooms, for better or worse
Pretty reasonable tickets, parking concessions especially for NY. Not the cheapest place but didn't feel gouged especially given the quality of the options
Solid modern ballpark. Lacked some intimacy and history that would have pushed it up higher. Nothing particular to complain about but nothing noteworthy either
