Oriole Park Camden Yards
3.0

Camden's biggest knock is that it shows it's age. It changed how baseball parks were built and launched an architectural revolution that can't be denied. I really enjoyed the park in spite of it lagging compared to newer stadia that it inspired

Category Ratings

Transit/Parking 4.0

It's right downtown but this being our 1st park rated I wonder if I over emphasized it's downtown location. Public transit seems limited but there are parking lots around given it's proximity to M&T

Neighborhood 1.5

Baltimore is rough....

History 3.0

Legends park was cool but kinda underwhelming. Statues around. Pretty middle of the road

Atmosphere 3.5

Even though the team was bad it was a fun ballpark to visit. Hard to not be aware of it's significance

Line of Sight 2.0

I think I dinged this a little hard for it's concourses. I also think I rated it lower because Tony and Evan overrated it

Presentation/Display 4.5

Maybe overcompensating again for the other 2's rating

Concessions 2.0

Pretty basic. This is where Camden maybe show's its age the most

Bathrooms 3.0

Not part of our scoring at the time. Don't recall

Cost/Value/Pricing 2.5
Personal Enjoyment 4.0

The average score doesn't really reflect it but I really liked Camden. Nothing in particular stands out but it still felt like a legend. I'm not sure I'd feel the same way if I hadn't lived through the terrible multi-use era
